Acrostic Poems
Write an acrostic poem for each of your vocabulary words.
Sample:
Sassy
Awesome
Radiant
Artistic
BLUE Consonants & RED Vowels
Write each of your vocabulary words with the vowels written in RED and the consonants written in BLUE

What is a CONSONANT?
Vocabulary Story or Sentences
Write a story which includes all of your vocabulary words.
OR
Write a sentence for each vocabulary word.

Make a word cloud including all of your vocabulary words
Vocabulary Sort
Think of a way to sort your words into different categories.
Sorts could include: # syllables, noun/verb/adjective/adverb, double letters, silent letters...
Hidden Words
Draw a Picture and within the picture include images of your vocabulary words.
Please hide IMAGES or visual depictions of your vocabulary words rather than the text hiding in the picture.
Example: if your vocabulary word is dog, you should include an image of a dog in your picture somewhere.
Poetry and/or Riddle
Write poems and/or riddles which include your vocabulary words within.
Example: Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Phantoms are cool, and so is your Ghoul!
Trace a Shape
Count your spelling words. Draw a shape for each spelling word. If you have 10 words, draw 10 shapes. Then write your spelling words around each shape!
OR
Choose a common shape (heart, football, smile face...) and write your vocabulary words to trace the design lines of the shape.
Connect the Dots
Write ten (10) of your words in dots, then connect the dots by tracing over them with a colored pencil or crayon.
Backwards Words
Write 10 of your words forwards and backwards.
Spelling Rainbows
Write each of your words first in pencil. Then trace over each word three+ times. Each time you trace, you must use a DIFFERENT color.
Pyramid Writing
Pyramid write your spelling words.

Spelling Scramble
Scramble your vocabulary words to make a word jumble.
Have a friend or family member try to unscramble your words.

Across and Down
Write each of your words across and down, sharing the beginning letter.
